Not all learning programs are created equal. Sometimes you’ll want to maximise retention with a spaced-repetition campaign. Other times a workforce change might require you to cross-skill employees as quickly as possible.

By defining learning outcomes and setting your program goals, ClearXP can generate the perfect learning program, optimised to your specific business needs.

Learning Objetives help us anchor learning design around a real, purposeful change in behaviour or skill. A well-defined outcome speifies what the learner will be able to do after completing the program. ClearXP uses learning outcomes to generate:

• Highly specific and relevant content.
• Assessments that evaluate the right things (not just test recall).
• Reports that demonstrate learning impact.

Without a learning outcome, learning consumes time without creating capability. Many AI authoring tools fall into this trap and generate bloated content with no real purpose.

Goals impose further constraints on the delivery mode and learning mechanics used by a learning program. ClearXP uses goals to ensure learning programs are tailored to an organisation’s unique needs.

These examples demonstrate how goals can affect program generation:

• If a goal is to reduce training hours, ClearXP will leverage adaptive content.
• If a goal is to maximise retention, ClearXP will schedule spaced repetition assessments.
• If a goal is to boost learner engagement, ClearXP will use gamification such as points and leaderboards.

The tension between goals can result in some very interesting learning programs. Minimising time to competency and maximising retention are in opposition to eachother so ClearXP will design a delivery mode that balances and optimises for both goals. In this case, we can expect a spaced repetition campaign over a very short period of time (less than a week).

ClearXP provides a number of ways to enrol learners into learning programs:

1. Any ClearXP-generated program can be downloaded and uploaded to your existing Learning Management System (LMS).
2. If you don’t have a learning platform already, ClearXP can also act as a fully standards-compliant LMS:
   • For one-off programs, learners can be invited directly to the program via email, or;
   • Learners can be enrolled into the program and access it via the Learning Hub.

Once learners are enrolled or invited to the Program, you’ll gain access to ClearXP’s full suite of compliance and analytics dashboards.
